Amani Channel's latest venture, WebVideoChefs.com was featured on Forbes.com. WebVideoChefs is a video production educational site that Channel launched with his business partner Chip Dizard in February, 2011.

In the article, John Farnell wrote, "They cover topics for both beginners and professionals that you won't find covered by other sites. [They wasted no time getting into Final Cut Pro X, even as some of us...more stubborn geeks  held back]."

Channel and Dizard joined forces after first meeting on YouTube back in 2007. Dizard and Channel both produced video tutorials indepently for people who needed help with a variety of production topics.

"We're excited about WebVideoChefs, and the potential it has to be a resource for people who are looking to develop and hone their production skills," says Channel.

VEM WINS MARCOM AWARD! PDF Print E-mail
Visual Eye Media is proud to announce that it won its second award in 2009.  The Marcom Awards honored VEM with a gold statue for a video project produced for MetroAtlanta YouthBuild.

The project titled, "MetroAtlanta YouthBuild: A Pathway to Success," featured three high school drops outs who are now pursuing postsecondary educational opportunities with the help of YouthBuild.  The video was shot in high definition and edited on Final Cut Pro.  

The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes creative acheivement by marketing and communications professionals.

"This project wouldn't have been possible without all of the professionals who worked tirelessly to see that the vision was carried out," says VEM's Senior Producer Amani Channel.  "We appreciate the recognition and prestige that this award represents."

HORIZON HOME FALL SALE PDF Print E-mail
For eight years, Horizon Home Furniture has been serving metro Atlanta's community of interior designers.  Its furniture has been used to stage scenes in movies, and now Horizon Home is being featured in a Comcast Cable commercial in metro Atlanta.

Horizon Home's owner Michael McMahon turned to Visual Eye Media to create two spots to drive customers to the furniture warehouse. The first commercial featured Horizon Home's first ever Labor Day sale.  After experiencing the most successful Labor Day weekend in its history, McMahon produced a second commercial that features a Fall blow out.

This spot was created with still photos and Adobe After Effects, and produced in High Definition.

The 2009 Telly Awards honored Visual Eye Media with a Bronze Award for a series of videos produced for Oglethorpe University's Evening Degree Program.  "This is  an unexpected honor, and we are humbled by the prestigious recognition," says VEM's founder Amani Channel.

VIDEO FEATURED ON ABC PDF Print E-mail
On March 22, 2009 ABCs Extreme Home Makeover featured video elements shot by Visual Eye Media.  The episode featured Lizzie Bell, a 14-year old girl who suffers from a rare blood disorder.

 The program included blood drives from around the country for Bell including one in Atlanta GA.  The American Red Cross contracted with Visual Eye Media to video tape a local blood drive that collected 220 pints of blood for Bell.

"Visual Eye Media stepped in just when we needed them to and provided outstanding service and quality production during our ABC Extreme Makeover Home Edition video shoot" said Tracye Bryant, Director of Communication for the American Red Cross Blood Services Southern Region.

“It was exciting to participate in this project,” said Visual Eye Media’s Amani Channel.  “It was a great experience to be involved with a program that had such a positive impact on a family that was so deserving.”
